Zipho Sikhakhane is a sought-after global speaker, writer, business strategist and CEO of EMZ Advisory, a firm dedicated to enhancing organisational effectiveness and productivity. Her insights on leadership, change and culture have positively impacted multinationals operating in emerging markets. She consults to CEOs and their executive teams, helping them to become more cohesive within the context of their business strategy, employee engagement and execution. The widespread appeal of her leadership insights has generated a diverse base of clients, consisting of private and public sector corporations, from industries such as banking, mining, professional services and healthcare.

In addition, Zipho speaks to thousands of leaders each year at world class organisations and international conferences and also makes time to write on her perspectives on key topics impacting businesses at large. Previously, she held strategic positions in corporations such as Inditex ZARA (Spain), Edcon Retail Group (Southern Africa), McKinsey & Company (Sub-Saharan Africa).  She has travelled to over 35 countries and worked in 6 continents. She also serves on several boards and has a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University in the United States, completed on full merit scholarship.

Zipho Sikhakhane is a global speaker and business strategist. She has held positions in industry leading corporations worldwide and is the first black South African to complete an MBA at the top-ranked Stanford University in the USA. In 2016, she received the Outstanding Young Achiever Award from the UNESCO Center for Global Education.


In the last 15 years, she has presented in four continents, including a TEDx Talk in the USA on Africa’s potential. She delivers inspiring keynotes and facilitated interventions on leadership, change management and Africa’s potential. She has been featured in numerous publications worldwide and is published as a contributing author in Singapore in a book on inspirational women.


From being raised by a single parent in a poor township in northern KwaZulu Natal to overcoming the challenges faced by individuals from disadvantaged communities, Zipho’s journey has been one of consistently breaking barriers.
